Dear Diary,

Spring is in the air and so are some really cool bugs! I met a very cool ladybug named Ruthie in the garden the other day. We talked for almost three hours straight! She had just spent the entire winter hibernating in a log with hundreds of other ladybugs. Sounds like a party to me! She said she would invite me next year, but I have a feeling I might be over the height limit. Maybe they can stay in Dweezwold next year instead! I'll have to ask Mom and Dad later.

One totally buggin' part of spring is spring-cleaning. I always have to help clean every last inch of Dweezwold. I can hear my mom and dad already: "Creepie Creecher, no playing outside until your room sparkles like a koa bug." Parents! If I dust my room, where will all the cool dust mites hang out? I don't know why, but they never buy that excuse! I'll tell you a little secret, though ... sometimes I make a deal with Gnat and Pauly to help me clean up. If Gnat cleans the top corners of the room and Pauly cleans under my bed, they can have all my leftovers for a week. Hehehe. Even though my brothers are pests, I can always count on them to help me clean my room — and my dinner plate!

Well, I'm off to meet Budge and Chris-Alice in the park. Now that it's warmer out, we have been playing all these really cool games outside. Yesterday, Chris-Alice and Budge taught me how to "shoot hoops". Today, I’m teaching them MY favorite game: "The Racing Roach Relay!" I hope they like it! Hehehe. Wicked!

Dear Diary,

Sorry it's been a while. Time has been flying like Drosophilia ... you know, fruit flies! Since the last time I wrote to you, the leaves have fallen off the trees, the crickets have stopped chirping, and the monarchs have migrated south to Mexico. You know what that means, it's totally winter!

Some of my favorite bug relatives always come to visit in the winter. I love seeing my second-cousin Barry. He's a silverfish! Have you ever been startled by those little silver bugs that crawl out from underneath big rocks in the winter? Yep! That's Barry. Lucky for Barry, he hangs out in Dweezwold with us. We're one big happy bug family!

Oh yeah! There's another bug that visited Middlington this winter as well ... the flu bug. OK, so it's not actually a REAL bug, but it's definitely been bugging some of my friends. Chris-Alice has been stuck in bed with a fever for the past week! She even missed the snow sculpture contest that she has won three years in a row. You should have seen the snow unicorn she made last time. It was a real scream. Maybe I should build something next year. How about a snow sculpture of Aunt Rose?! Hehehe ... Wicked!

Well, I have to run! Mom is calling me for dinner. We're having her world-famous Creecher Crunchy Casserole! Mmmm. Yummy!

          Creepily yours,

Dear Diary,

Summer break has been totally wicked! No homework buggin’ me and plenty of time to hang with my family. Each summer, some of my favorite bug relatives come to visit. Dweezwold Mansion is like a beehive of activity, with insects coming and going. It was really cool when my Great Ant Gertrude visited from an ant farm in Iowa. Every day, she took Gnat, Pauly, and me to the park to prey on ... I mean ... feast on the delicious delights of summer — you know, melted ice cream, cookie crumbs, and everything you can find in a picnic basket. You should have seen those humans scream when they found Great Ant Gertrude on their watermelon. HAHA! Talk about an extra ingredient!

Chris-Alice sent me a letter from Blindfolded Origami Camp last week. When she gets back, I’ll have to show her the origami Costa Rican zebra tarantula that Ant Rose made me. I’m sure she would find that, um, "super-di-duper."

Even though summer has been totally sweet, I am pretty excited to get back to good ol’ Middlington Middle School. I hear Dr. Pappas is teaching a course on insects — I hope there’s show-and-tell! Hehehe.

Well, I guess that’s all for now. Sorry I have to run, but Budge just got here to show me his new back-to-school scorpion backpack. Wicked!

          Creepily yours,
             CREEPIE
