Windows
- Right click on "Win" below the phrase.
- Click "Save Target As ..." on pop-up menu.
- Browse to Windows/Media or a directory that you will remember and save audio file.
- Click "Start," point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Sounds icon.
- In the Windows Explorer area of the Events list, click the event you want to change.
- In the Name list, click the sound you want to associate with that event. (If you have saved the sound in a directory other than Windows/Media, browse to where the sound has been saved.)
- If you don't want any sound associated with that event, click "None."
Macintosh
These instructions will work with Mac Systems 7 and above, although there might be slight differences depending on the OS.
- Download audio files by clicking on "Mac" below the phrase and hold.
- Click "Save this link as ..." or "Download link to disk" on pop-up menu.
- Quit all open applications.
- Open the System folder.
- Double-click the icon labeled System. (the icon may look like a suitcase).
- Within the System is a list of keyboard layouts and alert sounds. Drag the new sounds into the System.
- Close the System.
- Go to Control Panels.
- Open the Sounds control panel (might be Monitors and Sounds).
- Under the menu for Set Alerts choose the new alert sound from the list.
- Close the control panel and the alert is set.
