DinoSapien tells the story of Lauren Slayton, a 15-year-old girl whose father mysteriously disappeared on a fossil expedition in the badlands. While Lauren struggles to come to terms with his death, she and friends Courtney, Kit, and Chris work at a Dinosaur Camp run by her mother. The mystery of Lauren's father deepens when she encounters a live, seemingly intelligent dinosaur she calls Eno. Lauren and Eno form a cautious bond, as Lauren manages to keep multiple secrets, protecting Eno from the dangerous Diggers — dinosaurs that are hunting Eno and trying to kill him — and from Dr. Clive Aikens, a mysterious paleontologist who is trying to track Eno down for his own purposes.
