Jeff was in his early teens when he first became interested in working to save endangered species and ecosystems around the world. It was during a trip to Belize in 1984 that he first discovered the beauty of the tropical rainforests.

Ever since, he's had a passion for conserving these ecological marvels. Shortly after that trip he started working to protect the threatened rainforests of Central and South America. His hard work led to the creation of the Emerald Canopy Rainforest Foundation. This foundation hopes to help conserve and protect rainforests by educating the public on the importance and fragility of these natural wonders.

Now Jeff is working to create an interactive museum and environmental education center called the EcoZone. The goal of the center will be to help build awareness about the wildlife and ecology unique to the wetlands of southeastern Massachusetts.

He's also developing a series of books that explore the natural history of endangered species.

He travels all over the world as host of The Jeff Corwin Experience on Animal Planet. Before that Jeff produced and hosted the Disney Channel series Going Wild With Jeff Corwin.

Jeff firmly believes that it is through education and awareness that the natural resources, wildlife and ecosystems making up our planet will be conserved for future generations.
