Paz encourages and facilitates the block-building experience with suggestions and feedback if the child's attempts fail. The ability to persevere when things don't go right the first time is a critical skill in learning. A child can learn that mistakes are a part of learning -- one can learn what doesn't work or what not to do through mistakes.
