Join legendary monster truck Bigfoot as he mentors young Meteor and his
mighty monster truck friends as they crash, smash and crush their way
through the obstacles of growing up!
Bigfoot presents Meteor and the Mighty Monster Trucks embraces rough and
tumble physicality, sportsmanship and resilience. Through racing, the
little monster trucks of Crushington Park learn valuable life lessons.
In every race there are winners and losers, and ALL trucks, even the
biggest ones, make mistakes on and off the racetrack. But dealing with
wins and losses graciously and overcoming huge obstacles is what made
Bigfoot famous, so with self-confidence, dedication and a little
elbow...er...engine grease, he'll help the young trucks accomplish amazing
things. And he'll make sure they all have fun too!
Bigfoot Presents: Meteor and the Mighty Monster Trucks, is based on
simple stories for little children. The stories are infused with active,
physical play that simulates the way young people think, communicate,
and especially, the way they play. In fact, not only do the episodes
depict the way they play, but especially the way they play with trucks,
an established, initial play pattern for young children.
At the center of each story is a lesson that is intrinsically important
to the emotional and social development our target audience. Our goal is
to support your desire to provide content to their children that is good
for them. While we link development with play, we never preach. The
stories are fun, funny, and exciting...Junk Boy doesn't like to bathe;
Little Tow doesn't want to go to sleep when his Mom says so; Jose makes
fun of Meteor because he looks different than the other kids; Little Tow
doesn't want to have to look after his younger sister Zooey...
Irrespective of their issues, these little monster trucks constantly
compete, playing hard all the time. Play is a way for our characters to
work through simple conflicts. Our stories affirm young children,
communicating that the way they play - with a natural aggressive
energy - like a monster truck - is not only acceptable, but also healthy.
The monster trucks provide a model of appropriate (and inappropriate)
physical play. This is important for young children, especially little
boys. Studies show that children learn from physical play. They learn
limits and lessons about appropriateness by crossing established or
implied boundaries. Our characters are monster trucks in training just
as young children are training to become grown-ups.
While ours is not a curriculum of science and math, it provides a very
strong framework in providing youngsters with valuable life lessons
dealing with social and emotional issues. This show reinforces ideas of
friendship, overcoming insecurities as well as developing one's self
concept.
As a result the programs resonate for not only the intended audience of
3-5 year olds but can also appeal and be enjoyed by 6-8 year olds as
well. And we think you'll like it too.
So while Bigfoot, Meteor, Little Tow, Jose, and the rest of the friends
at Crushington Park may appear to be splashing around and having a loud
and exuberant time, they are also gaining a better understanding of how
to interact with others, how to set and test boundaries and the value of
being optimistic and resilient.
