Discovery Kids Feature

Dog Bone Pillow

Materials:

White felt or any material you'd like to use
Black yarn
Needle
Tape
Pins
Stuffing
PDF Pattern

Step by Step

Step 1

Download the bone image. Print the image out twice.

Step 2

Tape the pattern pieces together so you have a bone shape.

Step 3

Fold your material and pin the pattern to felt. Folding the material will make your job go faster.

Step 4

Cut around the pattern so you have two pieces of material for each pillow.

Step 5

Unpin the pattern from the paper and now pin the two pieces together.

Step 6

Sew along the edges of the material with a 1/2-inch seam. Don't sew the pillow all the way around the edges. You'll need to leave about 2 inches to put the stuffing in. Remember to close off your stich on either side of the gap so your sewing doesn't come undone.

Step 7

Now that you've done some sewing, it's time to stuff your pillow. Using the little gap you made, start stuffing until you are satisfied.

Step 8

Stitch the gap closed.
You're done!
Now you can relax ... on your new pillow.
