Juggling Balls

Materials
Juggling Ball Pattern (Click here for print-out!)
Felt
Pencil
Scissors
Needle
Thread
1 package of small, dry beans
Teaspoon

Step by Step

Step 1

Download and print out the juggling ball pattern provided. Cut it out along the solid line.

  Step 1
Step 2

Trace the pattern six times onto pieces of soft felt. Use a combination of felt colors that you like. Cut out the six shapes that you've traced.

  Step 2
Step 3

Using the dotted line on the pattern as a guide, sew two of the felt cutouts together, but only along one edge. Your ball will begin to take shape. Sew one edge of a third felt cutout to one edge of the two you just sewed together. Continue sewing the remaining felt cutouts to the ball, edge to edge, until all edges of the six pieces have been sewn.

  Step 3
Step 4

Turn your fabric right side out by using your thumbs to guide the fabric through the hole. Fill the juggling ball with small, dry beans and sew the hole closed.

  Step 4

Step 5

You are now ready to start practicing your juggling act! For a more challenging act, try making two or three more balls to juggle!
