James vs. Erin
Season 2, Episode 10

James loves all things Japanese. He craves a space where he can immerse himself in his favorite culture, but he's not feeling too Zen about two girls redoing his room. Despite his reservations, cousins Erin and Nayo are ready for the challenge and team up with designer Scott and carpenter Barte to bring the old and new to James' room — Japanese style. James will feel like an emperor when he sees his new room — complete with a giant throne for his bed, a cool pond filled with koi, beautiful Japanese antiques, plus contemporary Japanese anime and claymation art for inspiration.

Erin wants a room fit for a queen — a Mardi Gras queen, that is — but transforming her drab space won't be a big easy. So friend James and cousin Paul join forces with designer Jordin and carpenter Ginene to make a marvelous Mardi Gras room straight out of a French Quarter parade. Erin's royal new room comes furnished with a fabulous float bed, gold doubloon pillows, colorful jester stools for storage, umbrella lights with beautiful beads for her ceiling, and a cool harlequin wall adorned with custom-made Mardi Gras masks.
