Brandon vs. Ashanti

Season 3, Episode 4

Brandon is looking for a new daily commute — from his old bedroom to the hustle and bustle of big city life! His friends Ashanti and Renae team up with designer Scott and carpenter Barte to bring the bright lights and the big city to Brandon's boring bedroom. Brandon's small-town blues will melt away when he sees his new "Cityscape" dream room, with a custom-made bridge-style bed overlooking two huge skyline and cityscape wall murals. He even has a subway station and his very own vending cart that doubles as a desk!

Ashanti wants a room that will reflect her African/Puerto Rican heritage. So friends Brandon and Craig join designer Jordin and carpenter Ginene to create a room that will transport Ashanti to the lands of her ancestors. Her new Afro-Rican room is filled with cultural items and artifacts: Adinkra fabrics from the African Ashanti tribe, life-size photos of African and Puerto Rican dancers, kente cloth frames for her walls, a shadow-box desk filled with handcrafted cowrie shell anklets for good fortune and musical instruments from her two favorite lands to keep her singing and dancing Afro-Rican style.

Plus, both teams battle it out in another set of extreme (and extremely messy) Boys vs. Girls Challenges! Find out who will lighten their workload by winning the Labor Savers — and who will decide to give them up in exchange for a cryptic clue about their room.
