What is space camp?

Space Camps are run by the U.S Space and Rocket Center in Alabama. And guess what, Space Camp is not just for kids! Even adults can go. People come from all over the United States to attend Space Camp. There are also Space Camps in Turkey and Canada, and the U.S. Space and Rocket Center is planning Space Camps in other countries.

There are Space Camps for family vacations, and for different age groups. Space Camp is a place to learn and get excited about space. You can't actually train to be an astronaut, but you can learn about astronauts. You can also learn about things like aviation, robotics and astronomy. In Space Camp you can get a real-life feeling of being in space in the simulators. You can actually feel what it's like to space walk, to feel the force of gravity, and be in zero gravity. You can build a rocket or plan a space mission. Space Camp is educational, but it's also a lot of fun.
