TV Ratings Information
For programs designed solely for children:

TV-Y (All Children -- This program is designed to be appropriate for all children.) Whether animated or live-action, the themes and elements in this program are specifically designed for a very young audience, including children from ages 2-6. This program is not expected to frighten younger children.

TV-Y7 (Directed to Older Children -- This program is designed for children age 7 and above.) It may be more appropriate for children who have acquired the developmental skills needed to distinguish between make-believe and reality. Themes and elements in this program may include mild fantasy or comedic violence, or may frighten children under the age of 7. Therefore, parents may wish to consider the suitability of this program for their very young children. Note: For those programs where fantasy violence may be more intense or more combative than other programs in this category, such programs will be designated TV-Y7-FV.

For programs designed for the entire audience, the general categories are:

TV-G (General Audience -- Most parents would find this program suitable for all ages.) Although this rating does not signify a program designed specifically for children, most parents may let younger children watch this program unattended. It contains little or no violence, no strong language and little or no sexual dialogue or situations.

TV-PG (Parental Guidance Suggested -- This program contains material that parents may find unsuitable for younger children.) Many parents may want to watch it with their younger children. The theme itself may call for parental guidance and/or the program contains one or more of the following: moderate violence (V), some sexual situations (S), infrequent coarse language (L), or some suggestive dialogue (D).

TV-14 (Parents Strongly Cautioned -- This program contains some material that many parents would find unsuitable for children under 14 years of age.) Parents are strongly urged to exercise greater care in monitoring this program and are cautioned against letting children under the age of 14 watch unattended. This program contains one or more of the following: intense violence (V), intense sexual situations (S), strong coarse language (L), or intensely suggestive dialogue (D).

TV-MA (Mature Audience Only -- This program is specifically designed to be viewed by adults and therefore may be unsuitable for children under 17.) This program contains one or more of the following: graphic violence (V), explicit sexual activity (S), or crude indecent language (L).

Creepie accompanies Chris-Alice and her father on a fishing trip where she learns of Old Crabby, a giant crab rumored to inhabit the lake. / Creepie uses an old camera to discover a new hobby and new ways to freak out her peers.

Shaun makes up a special handshake, while Karla gets all the members of the team to be the walls, roof and door of her fort. Jen and Chats have fun with a laughing cushion and Doctor Kimee sees some patients.

Jen and Chats learn sign language together, while Kimee finds what she thinks is an echo in her magic wall. Curtis is stomping around in big boots and Karla finds different ways to walk and listens to how they sound.

Shaun plays detective and Karla sings and dances, wearing her happy, smiley face. Kimee makes a fun puppet before dressing up and playing Karla's shadow friend.

Shaun tries out different animal noses and Karla is a little pig who can't resist the mud puddle. In Sharing Stories, Karla, Kimee and Jen play fragrant flowers in an enchanted garden.

Curtis uses containers of cereal, macaroni and water to make great shakers, while Karla pretends to be a rabbit, nibbling a carrot. Jen and Chats sing about pizza and Shaun investigates the similarities and differences shared by watermelons and lemons.

Jen and Chats are being meerkats, while Curtis leads a band of chimps to rain dance. Lion Karla thinks her roar needs improving until Jen advises she can be a friendly lion instead of a scary one.

While Jen pretends to be a giant ant, Shaun is a spider spinning a pretend web and singing a spider song. Karla becomes three different insects - a busy bee, tiny flea and little ladybird.

It's Pinky's birthday and Kellie wants to throw her a surprise party but is overwhelmed by all the things she has to do. Encouraged by Hip Hop Harry, Kellie asks the other kids at the Center for help and is amazed when everyone helps out.

It's raining outside and the kids are bored. Hip Hop Harry teaches them about rainbows and the kids come up with a musical way to remember the colors and their order in a rainbow. They also learn about teamwork through game and song.

When Hip Hop Harry realizes that Kiana is afraid of Elizabeth's new pet parakeet, he invites Wildlife Wendy to stop by to teach the kids about birds. Wildlife Wendy finishes by putting on a show which highlights the similarities between birds and people.

When I Grow Up

Megan's homework is to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up. Hip Hop Harry helps the kids investigate different jobs culminating in a fun game of "Career Charades". Megan concludes that she wants to be a doctor!

Peas In A Pod

Farmer Fran visits Hip Hop Central to teach the kids all about what happens on a farm - from planting and growing vegetables to taking care of the animals. She also talks about the different types of peas that grow on her farm.

Make Your Dreams Come True

A professional gymnast, a veterinarian and a children's band visit Hip Hop Central to share their expertise and dedication. The kids have a lot of fun, gain good advice, and begin to understand that hard work and practice can make dreams come true.

Finding Your Talent

Everyone is excited about performing in the Hip Hop Central Talent Show except for Veronica. Veronica can't figure out what her talent is until Hip Hop Harry reminds her that a talent is something that you are good at and love to do.
